Project Overview
Location: Oura Pump Station
Client: Goldenfields Water
Goldenfields Water County Council (GWCC) owns and operates the Oura Pump Station. Raw water is extracted using four (4) bores and then treated at Oura Pump Station by way of aeration, chlorination and fluoridation before pumping to balance tanks at Junee for distribution.
The Oura pump station was built in 1975. The power transformers, High Voltage Cables, protection system and control system are 44yrs old. The Oura pump station is critical infrastructure. Pump station reliability is being compromised by as a direct result of the high voltage assets experiencing failures and reliability issues due to age.
This project aims to to replace the aged high voltage assets with new, current technology from the essential energy point of connection to the motors. The replacement includes the LV switchgear and control gear.
